Hope you are having lots of sunshine where you live because here in the states, it seems like spring took its sweet time getting here!
This post is sharing my May DT project for Papercraft Business. Jump on over to see how you can submit your papercraft project for a chance to win this month’s prize of a sweet Lawn Fawn die.
For my DT project, I created two Mother’s Day cards utilizing patterned paper pads and some of my favorite Lawn Fawn dies. I’m a person who tends to subconsciously try to make things more complicated than they have to be, so today I decided to challenge myself by using supplies I’ve already had (and may have been neglecting).
Basically, I cut patterned papers from MFT Gingham Galore, Pink Paislee Fancy Free, and Jen Hadfield Everyday paper pads. The Lawn Fawn dies I’ve used include the Love Ya border die, Outside In Stitched Heart Stackables and Lacy Heart Stackables. I used a bit of foam tape to add a little bit of dimension to the center hearts but otherwise, kept it pretty 2D. Lastly, I added a few Nuvo drops in Autumn Red.
What about you? Are you a hoarder of crafty supplies like me? I’m thinking that one of these months, I should challenge myself that when I craft, I should use supplies purchased from last year so I can get more use of existing supplies. I’ll keep you posted if I go that route. Until next time, see you later crafty friends!
