One of my favorite work colleagues is our nursing director, Barbara. We got to know each other this past spring when I worked for close to 2 months in the Nursing Administration department when I was off the floor due to a work injury. We interact regularly due to the shared governance groups and projects I work on. I have deep admiration for her leadership style and her vision for our hospital. She has also become an informal mentor to me. Through our time together, she has inspired and encouraged me to do many things out of my comfort zone.
She had a health issue pop up late August and she will be undergoing a procedure this week. I made her a Get Well card to let her know she’s in my thoughts. It was also a way for me to “lecture” to her that she should take care of herself during her healing time and she SHOULD NOT try to sneak into work too early (which she did in August, haha).
I used the Pretty Pink Posh Rainy Days and Rainy Days addition stamp set to stamp out all the images for this panel. It was so fun to use some new Altenew inks! I love the look of these pastel and soft inks colors together.
The nurse in me wants to tell you all to stay safe and healthy this winter! Perhaps I made this card look this way to capture some of the cheeriness of the spring inspired colors! 🙂
